Jeffrey Campbell boots | Topshop vest | Rat and Boa jumper | Zara trousers | NastyGal scarf | Metaphor shirt |

---------------------------------------------------------------------

As promised, here's two casual outfits I threw together to show off my new baby's, the Jeffrey Campbell's. The great thing about the black and gold detailing on the boots is that it can be worn either for the day time or evening. Rising all the way past your knee adds a sexy element to any outfit, and especially teamed up with the faux fur scarf. This simple accessory can turn the casual outfit into one that'll see you off into the evening. Once the weather starts heating up here in LA I can't wait to rock these boots with a short dress to show off a subtle bit of leg, which looks great on everyone! How else would you wear rock the knee highs? Comment below and share your own tips.

New fav word: Coatigan

Feast your eyes on this bad boy! The coat/ cardigan (hence coatigan) that I was harping on about in my prior blog post. Check that out here if you haven't already. Honestly though, the image doesn't even do justice because the material is super soft and expensive looking when in actual fact it's budget friendly. I'd happily have nothing else but this to keep me warm all year round.

Nasty Gal's in Hollywood

As we speak my feet are blissfully soaking in warm frothy bubbles. Rightly so too! I was invited to attend NastyGal's garage Sale on Saturday the 22nd, which was held literally in a garage at the back of the store on Melrose Avenue. Travelling there from where I live in Long Beach though was a mission all in itself. My gorgeous friend Molly and I totally forgot about the Oscar's being held this weekend, so didn't work that issue into our travels. All in all it took about 2 and a half hours to finally get to where we needed to, but to our dismay, we were confronted by a long-winding queue that escalated outside of the store nearly backing onto the road! Needless to say we were not impressed. But, that's the price you've gotta pay sometimes for a fashion bargain. And boy am I happy we waited. The queue took about 3 hours, but the workers at NastyGal are so blooming lovely that they kept popping out to check on all us customers to apologise and kept us hydrated with bottles of water and snacks to nibble on. It was really sweet of them, though I felt like they were doing so as a plea to keep us waiting in line. Which was highly unnecessary because there was no way I was going to head home without purchasing anything after already having lost my whole day! But they didn't need to know that. So obviously I kept the refreshments coming.

Meet my new Jeffrey Campbells

Once our prayers had been answered and Molly and I reached the front of the store, we finally had a chance to check out the new collection NastyGal had on offer. In hindsight I wish I never had because I discovered this gorgeous thick cardigan with pale blue pastel check print. It could easily act as a coat as it was so thick and soft and huge and heavenly! It's been playing on my mind ever since I left the shop so now I'm desperately imagining ways of how I can save enough pennies to call it my own! This is how my loan just gets blown so easily. Sigh. But the rest of the store was also incredibly laid out. And again, the store assistants are so friendly and welcoming that Molly and I ended up having a good ol' natter with one of the girls about her day as if she was a long lost pal of mine.

Once we finally pulled ourselves away from the gorgeous clothes and architecture of the store, our faces sunk instantly low at what again met us. Another bloody queue!! The sale was in the back of the store and we hadn't realised or been told that there was still more waiting to go. So, what felt like another hour had gone by (by this time both mine and Molly's phone had died so we were no longer a part of planet earth and now had no clue what time or day we were in). But, when we did finally get amongst the sale, I tell you all the laborious waiting was worth it. I managed to find the most amazing Jeffrey Campbell knee high boots with a fairly pointed toe (which I love), with pretty gold detailing around the seam of the shoe itself and above all else, boasting a futuristic gold cut out heel. I was sold, instantly, and for only $50 all the way down from $225!! As well as the heaven sent boots, I bagged my self a glam faux-fur scarf which will be perfect for when I return to the drastic weather change in England, again for only $20. Apparently it was meant to be $30, but me and the lady had such a good natter she knocked off another $10. Sometimes this loud mouth of mine does come in handy.

I'll have a post up this week showing my new buys in an outfit that'll be perfect for the winter weather! Till then, let me know what you think of my photo's because my gorgeous friend Elise lent me her GoPro Hero to take some of the cool fish bowl-eque images.

Brand Crush Alert! Solace London

I'm sure we've all heard and seen quite enough to do with the Grammy's now. But, on a final note, I couldn't bring the weekend to a close without giving props to Jhene Aiko's beautiful Grammy-brunch outfit. Her tiny frame looked gorgeous in the satin backless crop top, which flared perfectly at the hem to show off Jhene's enviable flat stomach.

Jhene can be seen wearing Solace London, a brand recently founded in the Summer of 2013. The designer is already sure to be a keen favourite with high-street shoppers who have the budget to indulge on the heftier side of the price tag. Solace London offers elegant womenswear but for the 21st century woman, designing cutting edge dresses and separates for any glamorous occasion.

Jhene isn't the only celeb to be seen rocking this designer. Jennifer Lopez was recently spotted on the Jimmy Fallon show, promoting her latest film 'Boy Next Door' whilst slaying these sateen Solace London trousers. And, not so long ago, none other than the trend setters themselves, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, bombarded their Instagram accounts of each other posing in their favourite dresses from the Solace London capsule collection.
